Claire Adida is Associate Professor at the Political Science Department at the University of California San Diego. She uses quantitative methods to study how countries manage new and existing forms of diversity. She has applied this question to the study of immigrant exclusion and ethnic politics in urban West Africa, France, and the United States. Her current research investigates the conditions that reduce out-group discrimination, and the strategies vulnerable minorities employ to navigate discriminatory environments. Her work is funded by the National Science Foundation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Hellman Foundation, and the Evidence in Governance and Politics Group. Her works have been published in leading journals such as Science Advances, PLoS ONE, Quarterly Journal of Political Science, Comparative Political Studies, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and Journal of Population Economics. She is a visiting professor at GATE Lyon-St Etienne for AY2019-2020.

Rabah Amir is the J. Edward Lundy Professor of Economics at the University of Iowa. He received the Handelsbanken Research Prize of Denmark in 1998 and was selected as an Economic Theory Fellow in 2011 by the Society for the Advancement of Economic Theory. His main research topics are the study of strategic substitutability and complementarity in economics and their consequences to answer issues in industrial organization, game theory or microeconomics. Other research interests are financial economics and environmental economics. His current research in the area of industrial organization and game theory includes the study of the consequences for a monopoly firm to choose its environmental quality in addition to the price of its product. His works have been published in leading journals such as Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Economic Theory, Journal of Public Economics, Games and Economic Behavior, International Journal of Game Theory, and International Journal of Industrial Organization.

Alain Trannoy is Research Professor at EHESS (École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales) and Professor at the Aix-Marseille School of Economics. He was the head of the Institute of Public Economics (IDEP) from 2003 to 2011 before taking the head of the Lab of Excellence Aix-Marseille School of Economics (AMSE) from 2011. He has belonged to the Council of Compulsory Levies (CPO) since 2011 and has been scientific advisor at the Council of Strategic Analysis (CAS) since 2007. His research focuses on public economics with a particular attention to inequality and redistribution, taxation, housing economics, financing and organization of higher education. His works have been published in leading journals such as American Economic Review, Social Choice and Welfare, Journal of Economic Theory, Journal of Public Economics, Journal of the European Economic Association, Quarterly Journal of Economics, Rand Journal of Economics, and Journal of Economic Literature.
